      Gotta smile, Australia officially stopped using the term calorie in 1988, still we use it.

      kilojoule is such a clumsy word.

      Bit like metric, go to your local hardware, you can still buy imperial bolts and nuts.

        Calorie is nice...it has a nasty ring to it once you get to a certain BMI though.

        A nice simple unit, the energy to heat 1 gram of water, one degree celsius.

          Actually the calorie as used in nutrition is the energy to raise 1 kilogram of water 1 degree Celsius. kcal anyone?
