On a (predominately) American forum I frequent, some members (who consider themselves knowledgeable about coffee) were getting all excited about the entry-level Jura automatics.Originally posted by roosterben View PostI would enter and flip it to buy some good coffee gear.
Some of Jura commercial fully auto machines are decent, but the domestic ones are pretty rough often blocking up with grinds.
"Seattle Coffee" has a number of 'reviews' of these machines on Youtube (that make me wonder how expert they are).
There generally seems to be a much higher level of knowledge/experience about coffee on all the local forums I use than there is on this huge international forum.

This is what your dedicated spam email address is for. I'm usually OK to provide my spam email and if really neccessary, my real mobile number.
Everything else is viewed with suspicion. Request for birth date gets my fake internet birth date details.
Request for home address is often the point I decide not to enter.
And when doing it online, use private browser mode.
Most of these however are more hassle than they are worth. As Yelta says, they're not doing it out of the goodness of their heart.
Brett.

I think I’ll follow your example.Originally posted by Yelta View PostOne of the dangers of engaging in this type of online activity, doesn't seem to worry some.
Jura are not doing this out of the goodness of their heart, its a publicity/data collecting exercise.
For what it's worth I wouldn't.

I’m just worried about getting spam if I enter the competition. The ad is on Facebook. Has anybody else seen it?
I think I’d try to sell it if I were to win it.Tags: None
