Hey Andy, some of those arent on that dvd. It doesnt have No Shelter, Guerilla Radio, Testify and Renegades.

I usually put it on in the morning though im not up that early. I usually try to catch JTV on satuday and if I had it might have been mentioned on there.

Oh well back to watching the dvds.... I hope you cant where a dvd out.

Sydney went in less than 5mins setting a new benchmark for any event in the country.

    really?  faster than U2????
That info was from the BDO website so it must true :. It might have gone on the volume of tickets sold in the time frame, which was 20 000, because RATM tickets for there seperate show in SYD and MELB sold out in 2-3 minutes but seperate concerts in entertainment centres and pubs etc. wouldnt have anywhere near that volume i wouldnt think.

Greg my sister in law got it for me and she got them off ticketeck the BDO website was sold out before i even woke up. She got them with 32 seconds to spare because ticketeck kicks you off after 10 mins and cause she got on early just made it in time.

If they dont confirm you might have to enter the ballot and get some that way. Good luck let us know how you go.

Good onya Sarg. Should be great.

How did the BDO site treat you?

I went on Tues night (midnight to 3pm) for the Sydney BDO -my daughter on one computer, me on the laptop- and found it very frustrating. Very slow, kept having to refresh, every time the Confirm page came up it was different(!), couldnt see the authentication codes, kept dropping out back to previous pages- all in SLOW motion- no confirmation, no e-mail. Turned off the firewall, wondered whether Firefox had anything to do with it. Kept at it till they said we were at our order limit (only 2 tickets per person for Sydney).

So hopefully we got our tickets, but still no confirmation. A bit of a shemozzle. Heard of plenty of others with similar experiences.

(No problems like this on CS )

Also, got the new Radiohead album In Rainbows over the internet. Check it out- minimum purchase price one pound sterling (by-passing the record company, they make about as much as they normally would). Very easy, very good album (much more satisfaction than BDO ticket purchasing). (Of course, being a JJJ devotee you know about this deal.)

Got my ticket to the BDO today. They sold out on BDO website by 7:15 this morning then ticketek sold out in 10 mins once they opened, the fastest the BDOs have ever sold out.

Sydney went in less than 5mins setting a new benchmark for any event in the country.

Bring on RAGE it going to be massive.

Now you mention the lyrics Sparky, my memory of them is clearer - thems were heady political days.

Yeh Im still Brizzy based, & with 3yr old twin boys Ill be the annoying back up vocals to Sarg with a bit of Hi5. The music is grating, but I tolerate the dvds only cause the girls are lookers!!

With a 15 month old I could give you any lirics to the wiggles if you need a break from the veronicas :.

ZZZ was fun times. I was around 90-92ish. IMO, Ministry - Just one fix ia about my favorite song!

FWIW: Victims of Noah were a local band that submitted a song to a covers competition. Six ribbons. It became a ZZZ classic... with lyrics like "If I were a Dean borther Id drive a big dozer and demolish six buildings to show that I care... If I were a pollie in the National party, Id give you six cash clips in brown paper bags... But Im just a simple man, a drought stricken farmer, so take these six ribbons to tie back your hair." Sheer poetry ;-)

Im still in Brisburg, but more likely to listen to the Veronicas these days (with a 6yo daughter)

A friend of my wifes anounced on zzz but that was around 1999 ish I think. Used to love the Beer show on saturday arvos.

Had a look at crap-bay before and there are heaps of tickets some as high as 10 000 which hopefully are fake bids. With any luck they get stuck with heaps of tickets and people just wait for the BDO, although a side show would be better.

Sparky!!! On-ya mate for outing yaself as a ZZZ announcer in those heady days! I contributed, a few times, for a then up & comin music-scene mag whilst still at UQ - youd know the pub ...

Still listen to Mininstry when I wanna chill-out a bit ...

Ah, as for Victims of Noah (momentary synapse recollection), think they sunk with the ark.

Toxic Garden Gnomes (went to school with the lads!) ventured Melb. way to cut a record deal, did many gigs, but didnt cut it unfortunately.

At least I met my lovely wife of 15 yrs at a small Dooleys gig they did in 91 ... thats why they stick.

    Still in Brizzy Sparky?

Yep, Toxic Garden Gnomes rings a bell. How about Victims of Noah?

I was a 4ZZZ announcer in the early 90s. Saw grunge established as mainstream. That was funny. We lost about a dozen copies of Nevermind before JJJ first decided to played it. About 6 months after that it was on commercial radio...

Reminiscing mode on: Most amasing concerts were Janes Addiction, Ministry and Gwar...

Greg, I think your son is very lucky, 2 minutes and both sydney and melbourne sold out. They spoke to a guy on jjj today and he was 10th in line and didnt even get any the guy in fourth spot was the last (nearly as frantic as Bean Bay).

I just hope the majority wasnt to bloody scalpers.

    Andrew
Unfortunately spot-on Andrew - frikkin scalpers:

    http://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/news/technology/fans-rage-against-the-scalpers/2007/09/28/1190486542147.html

Looks like BDOs on the cards.

Seeing we (relatively) old fogies are reminiscing, one of my personal faves was/is The Cruel Sea. Anyone Brizzy based remember Toxic Garden Gnomes in the early 90s?
