    Re: Hangover cure

I dont think that theyd be awake yet, its only lunch time you know ;D.
When they do wake up, Id like to pass on my favourite hang-over cure.
A cheese and bacon pie and a large chocolate milk.
That has seen me through many a morning after, and Im still alive to tell the tale.

Berocca helps! The main thing though is to keep hydrated. I usually force myself to drink a large glass of water before i pass out in bed. But that wont help any of you now :  As lovey said bacon is good, I would usually have bacon eggs and fried tomato however. Anything high in saturated fat seems to do the trick ;D

Drove through the Geelong centre last night after getting back from the MCG. The city was going off. Roads blocked, people hanging out of car windows. Car horns. What a great time for Geelong. What a game!

              Re: Hangover cure

No hangover here but if I had one... lots of coffee, vegemite, eggs and bacon is the fix (with a loooong sleep)

Had a great day out with the family watching the grand final at the home of the cats.

Kardina Park had a 5000 odd crowd and as you would expect, it was a tad bias so my son and I wore our colours proudly.  My girls follow the cats so they wore blue and white, my wife packed a Footscray rug for us to sit on (her team.... LOOSERS).

Pity the game wasnt a bit more of a contest but it was still good to see it with a croud.

Im not a Geelong supporter (but was going for them on the day).

After seeing the celebrations on the TV tonight (still going strong), I would have expected the most likely reponse to your question would have been... "Stay drunk" ;D

As I am still recovering from the shock of Ports terrible performance. I guess the cure is to keep drinking. - trying to both drown my sorrows and forget it ever happened. ;D

Seriously though, Congratulations to Geelong - they were the best all year, and deserved the premiership. It would have been nice to win, but after 44 years, it was good to see Geelong finally achieve a premiership.

Port made a huge effort with such a young team to even get to the number 2 spot, the finals and into the grand final. Even though we were slaughtered, we were there when 14 other teams didnt get there.

I am a proud Port supporter and will always support them for better or for worse... There are still more positives from this than that nasty negative.

The better the booze , the easier the hangover

So the best hangover cure is drink top shelf instead of bargain RTD, the next day is always easier and the headache will fade away quicker. Oh and drink a lot of water before going to bed.

I was given this advice by an old wino late one night on how to avoid a hangover.

                          "Stay drunk"

I lived in South Korea for a couple of years, & early in the piece sustained a few very nasty hangovers from over-indulging in their fire-water - soju. Kinda like equal parts vodka to kero to metho. Anyway their cure for virtually every ailment known to exist - be it a beaudy of a hangover, herpes, or baldness - is kim-chee. Its kinda like the Korean version of sauerkraut (plenty of fermented cabbage, garlic, & chillies).

Guess what - it works! Well for me anyway. Just sweats it out of your system.
