So I replied then santa wont put any presents under the tree.
He replied yes I do believe in santa dad,its just what some kids were saying at school.

Not all words read the same to all people.

To most people, the word WOW means great/awesome/fantastic,.. to us CSrs, WOW means an awesome roasted bean available in Beanbay. But my son however,..obviously reads things a little differently :

My sons interest was piqued when the word WOW jumped out at him from a post I was reading a few moments ago and asked in an unbelieving, yet delighted tone,.."Is there really a World Of Warcraft bean??? : Think he has World Of Warcraft on the brain.

*note to self: "get the kid off the puter"*

Tiana @ 2yo - While getting tickled on the belly, got-up, stepped back and with a fully outstretched arm with palm facing me and very stern deep voice said "stop Daddy, ENUFF"  (you would swear she was 10 foot tall, not 2 foot)

andy - that reminded me of my now 3yo daughter who was about 2, when her uncle (my bro in law) was being playful and began to sit on her..twas fun and games for a little while, until she got up and declared "Uncy Addy, we DO NOT SIT ON PEOPLE" i was in the kitchen and I nearly pooed MY pants...

A little while ago our daughter did that wonderful trick of pooing in her nappy, proceeded to take them off, and wipe poo all over the carpet, on the mirror and in her hat.

Now she was young, but lets just say she was not young enough where she didnt know better. So I discover this and quickly start cleaning up to avoid stains, I call the wife to clean our daughter up.
Wife with contained anger is explaining that we are not overly happy right now and she said ‘I can’t believe you wiped poo all through your hat, even animals wouldn’t do that’

our daughter replied, ‘but Mummy, animals don’t wear hats – they would look silly’.

Good to see she was focussing on the problem at hand  ;D

    Hi all
Here is one that happened today.
My wife and son went to funeral of a family member of my wifes sister in-law so it wasnt as close but still sad. It was held in a small country town in victoria with a population of 500 or so.
After leaving the town, Daniel, aged 10 pipes up and says "they are going to have to change that sign now, it should read Population 513 and not Population 514"

    Aahhh gotta love em.

    What a great topic.
I have two kids, boy & girl who are 10 & 8 respectively, both still believe in santa etc.
This year Hannah says to us that of course Santa, Tooth Fairy and Easter bunny are real and she used these logical points
    • Parents wouldnt spend the money that santa does, if it were parents buying the presents then we would hardly get anything
    • why would anyone want to pay kids for their teeth
    • i saw all those foot prints around the caravan park and over the car and easter bunny left all that chocolate (a couple of years ago my wife and i spent about 2 hours wandering around a caravan park in Ballarat leaving a huge trail of flour bunny prints on anything and everything, from memory it was a 3 - 4 stubby outing)

Hannah also does neta ball and has an umpire who would be in her mid 60s and one day she says "i know why she wears a wrinkly track suit (parachute type material etc) so when i enquired why she said "cos it would match the wrinkles on her legs"

Last but not least (all alegedly),
Me at the age of 4 while in a ladies toilet when mum had to go called out in a hi voice "Is that where you go pee pee mum"
Needless to say we left the general area pretty quickly.

    Mal

    Ahh ya gotta luv em

I was giving a friend lift home from a party, and my three year old was in the back of the car. My daughter asked her what her name was. "Its Coral" she said. My daughter then goes "Are you called Coral because you live under the sea?"
Coral explained that people are often named after things, like Rose or Ruby. We get to Corals place after a long drive, and from the back of the car a small, tired voice goes "Bye, bye Seaweed."

You do have to watch what you say in front of them. We were waiting in a car park for a slow, indecisive driver to back out of a spot, and my three year old daughter goes "Oh for Christs sake, how hard can it be".

I recall reading one of thoses animal farm type stories to my lads a while back. When we reached the page with a load of chooks marching up a ramp into a huge coop, I asked them "so boys, where are the chickens going?"

"into the oven, Dad!" piped out one of my lads.

    Ahhh, gotta luv em ...

Im not sure whether this is funny or not...in fact it left me feeling a little bad, but here it goes!

Upon walking into our toilet where my 4 year old son had just been, I found urine sprayed literally everywhere. I called him to me & started berating him quite angrily. "Ben, where do you do your wee?" He replies with a quivering bottom lip, "In the toilet." I reply quite vocally, "Well why did you wee on the floor & on top of the toilet?" His bearly audible & tearful reply was, "I tried to wee in the toilet Daddy but my penis was tall."

    What could I say!

    Regards
    Andrew

We bunddled my niece in the car to go out the other day and id forgot my sunnies and remembered to brush my teeth (coffee breath) so i went to do both and apparently in my absence she asked " Untie Shazzy whys uncle andy stuffin around for". She also, while at her place, had been spoken to sternly by her mum and then walked into the room her dad was in carrying a blanket and a pillow and told him "mum and i just had a big fight". This is only a couple shes come out with some funny stuff shes only 2 and a half but shes super intelligent i think. Ill try to remember some more quotes.

My sons only just starting to find some words so in the next year hopefully ill have something funny to add from him.

In the fruit shop with Anastasia (2-and-a-bit) a few weeks ago, I asked her if she would like to try some apricots. She studied one for a moment, looked back at me and replied "Mummy ... bot-bot?".

"Yes darling, they do rather resemble one".

When my kid was a bit over a year old my friend Bob came over and she greeted him with "Hi Blob!". The name stuck and over 20 years later hes still affectionately known as Blob. ;D
