I also did that for my wedding last year!! It was great to walk out from the ceremony, and have my mate hand my wife and I a coffee that he had just made He was using a ECM Giotto.

ok, well sunday has come and gone but the memory of AWFUL coffee remains...food was great thou, breakfast til 3pm!!

i performed my snobbish barista test, namely "could i please have a double shot piccolo latte" and received bizarre looks..so went for a safer option of a strong cafe latte. one look, two sips. very disappointed. so it was wine henceforth.

i resisted the temptation to club the guy behind the rancilio, dump him in a closet after taking his black shirt and apron, and jump behind the machine despite having no commercial experience WHATSOEVER to TRY and produce something that came close to resembling coffee

why oh why do these travesties occur in this town? AAARRGGGHHH

My daughter held a lunch yesterday to celebrate her engagement.
The food was excellent and I drank the coffee because it was time form my afternoon caffeine hit.

Congratulations TG, I can just see you playing Proud Dad at the lunch. When is the wedding?

On topic, your daughter has a ready made barista in the family for her wedding.

Nah, me too ;D..... I think a lot of us would have found it very hard to resist the urge to upend the pseudo-barista into a handy bin and taken over.

Usually, I can hardly bear to look at what the PBTCs are doing with their wonderful machinery, it really is a travesty...

and all the more disgraceful if the pseduo-barista-guy/gal is fluffing around behind LM ilk...!!
