Re: What did we get for Mothers Day?
Im a bloke ... so I slept in.
Isnt the day to celebrate being a Mother? :-?
After I waskicked up the arselovingly awakened, I made Mamma poached eggs (saucepan with vinegar & milk)/smoked salmon/hollandaisse/on grilled Turkish bread, with sauteed mushrooms on the side.
Plunger of Aceh 3 days old (mmm, young yet showing richness).
Traditional fresh OJ on the side.
... then I went back to bed
Tony
(Oh, & called my own lovely Mum to thank her ... for ... well, just to bloody thank her!)

And being Mothers day i guess you wouldnt have got any simpathy either?Originally posted by Thundergod link=1210467763/0#4 date=1210504419My mother came over for lunch before she went to the movies with my wife.
I went shopping and now have a new steel "hammer lock" shelf to hold all my beans and a few other coffee bits and pieces.
I also got a kitchen trolley which will hold the corretto and roasting sundries so I can wheel it to and from where I roast.
I also got two blood blisters from slips with the hammer knocking the shelving together.

Re: What did we get for Mothers Day?
Bought SWMBO a Celine Dion CD (yeah i know, just like a cat being strangled but she likes it).
Also bought her a game called "Smart Ass" where the object of the game of 2 - 12 players is to yell out the answer as soon as you know. The clues get easier as the list is read through.
Didnt get a chance to play it today though as we went to Hanging Rock for a BBQ lunch and to treck up to the top and look at the views.
Nice day though.

What did we get for Mothers Day?
Happy Mothers Day to those of us that get to enjoy it!
Im enjoying my raisin toast and coffee, and while I miss the macaroni pictures and glitter photo frames of yesteryear, Im really looking forward to watching Underbelly all over again on my new DVD. Not a particularly traditional present, I realise, but given that the 16yo had to go to the trouble of pre-ordering, Im very happy.
