Tried 5 guys last year in Europe and it was ok but overpriced. I do recall the chips being good though.

Yeah they are the ones I look for when I am visiting somewhere.

Sounds very much like Elvis' late night snack of choice.

What's this "while you wait" business. Why not a Peanut Burger? A toasted burger slathered with crunchy peanut-paste with crispy bacon, lettuce and tomato and a runny egg. Yum!

There're still a few Mum and Dad burger spots around who make 'real' burgers.
We've got a great one here in Warwick...

So Caffeinator in your minds eye, do you envisage that ' Aussie Velvet Curtain' being located somewhere north of the Tweed ?

Burger Joint NY (In the Parker Hotel W 56th)... Finding it behind that velvet curtain is half the challenge. I'd be happy to see them bring that here!

Sounds like another 'Starbucks' fiasco in the making.
An Aussie sycophant, posting on a Coffee thread on my watch forum was telling the Yanks that the Australian coffee scene was so much influenced by the US.
I was tempted to add - "But not in any positive way".

And I quote from the story .....
"Five Guys, known for its fresh burgers and milkshakes topped with crumbled applewood-smoked bacon"
And my words ....Cheese that looks like it is Squeezed on !
Geez Yelts ....Why can't I just have a Burger that looks and tastes like a Real Burger !
