In my signature space it says SEE LICENSE in printed capital letters. I've always 'signed' my cards that way. In all the decades I've had them I can count on one hand the number of times someone has asked to see my license.
Yesterday the bank delivered replacement cards for Paula and I...
When did credit cards change from embossed to plain vanilla bits of plastic with no numbers on the front and just printed numbers on the back?
It's also got 2 braille bumps on the bottom left and someone took a notch out of the right hand side.
Weird.
The only thing I can think is that people were getting CCTV skimmed when using tap and go.
Seems like a recent change. Makes sense though since the reason for the raised embossing was to go through the click-clack units with the 2 part slips. I guess they still exist for offline emergencies, but I haven't seen one for years.
Signature? Yep, forgot to sign one card once and I only noticed 2 years later, no one else did.
The signature box is tiny on this one, half the height of normal, maybe 4mm high and my scrawl doesn't look repeatable.
I would show you a picture but now all the numbers are on the backside of the card including the secret 3. I'm sure I've had to provide a picture of my credit card in the past for KYC (Know Your Customer) ID verification, you can't do that now with all the numbers and name on a single side.
Oh yeah, it saves me turning the card over to see the 3 magic numbers... as long as the printing doesn't wear off in my wallet
(my cards typically look pretty secondhand long before the card expiry date)

Interestingly, what has the thief purchased for the amount of $1012.99 at Spotlight!? A bunch of craft material to keep entertained during lockdown? Lol!
Don't panic, this isn't a "disclosure" that CoffeeSnobs lost your credit card details to a hacker because we intentionally have never known them which is why we only use PayPal for card transaction processing, we don't ever what to know your card details!
I just had an SMS from Bank of Melbourne (St George / Westpac etc) to query if the charge to DRIPPY CULTURE for $935 was ours. It wasn't.
Jumped into online banking to see our account and there were a pile of transactions since 2:20 this afternoon, none of which were ours.

Bank fraud guy called me shortly after and went through them, cancelled the card and said they would send another (we've been here before a few years ago).
Interesting that the $40 from Opodo was bounced by them as was the second Dan Murphy one.
Optus obviously don't care how much or how fast you spend though.
Dan Murphy order might be "click and collect" but surely the dopey thief will get a surprise when the police deliver his Deliveroo order
