Hence why the strategy would be to contain China to the South China Sea, and not let them into the deep pacific ocean.

Entry declarations are handed to every passenger on the plane an hour before arrival, even if they play tennis. I doubt anyone from Tennis Australia was on the plane to fill-in his declaration, and if he delegated the dozen tick boxes to someone else on the plane to fill-in then he's a mug.Guys, as it turns out he claims his travel statement was handled by Tennis Australia and his agent.

Guys, as it turns out he claims his travel statement was handled by Tennis Australia and his agent. I'm sure all this can be verified quite fast by Australian immigration authorities. Serbia is NOT in the EU so if he traveled to Spain then to Serbia he would have stamps in his passport. It's as simple as that.
The QR problem was reported by the German newspaper Der Spiegel. The Guardian double checked and for them the QR code always gave positive result. https://www.theguardian.com/sport/20...-djokovic-saga "When the Guardian tried on Tuesday it returned universally positive results."
There's a lot of disinformation spreading trough social media as it appears that Morrison is trying to save face. I have no problem whatsoever if DJokovic is caught with some real offense and deported, but seriously, two presenters trashing him during a break it's just an irrelevant side show.
Really, the point I made was quite logical IMO: if he wanted to come to AO using a fake test this would have been done well in advance and with a proper cover story. The idea of a last-minute fake test just makes no sense from a logical standpoint, it would have been plausible only if the visa or entry rules suffered a recent modification and he no longer qualified.

Mate that's a good question. If I was to place a bet I'd say that someone with Djokovic's beliefs won't trust a machine for making his coffee, so probably Turkish made using a manual grinder or something like thatOriginally posted by allinone View PostWhat type of Coffee does this Serbian tennis player drink?

The problem being that for a close deterrent purpose nuclear power isn't relevant for a submarine. Nuclear means that the sub can be out and about indefinitely, only limited by the crew's capability to handle a very long mission. Spread 8 nuclear subs in the Pacific and you're not protecting Australia's coast, you're just playing hide and seek over the vastness of the Pacific ocean at a very high cost.

There are also journalists reporting that the QR code on his test actually states that its a negative result when scanned, and that the dates on the test don't match up.
When journalists asked his family about this at a press conference the conference was abruptly ended.
I'd suggest Novak's team were hoping that he'd get exempt being the world number 1, and then when it was obvious that was not going to happen, they did a dodgy test.
Also being reported here that he lied on his entry declaration.

You can't invade a country with drones and cyber attack. that is why the subs are important. In order to fight a land battle in Australia the enemy would need to transport troops to the country - on boats, so that is why a strong sub fleet is needed.

Now, about the positive PCR being fake, if Djokovic decided to go that way he wouldn't need to involve government ministers from Serbia and definitely he wouldn't do anything in writing. He's got national hero status in his own country so getting a fake positive would have been a matter of one of his staff contacting a friendly doctor and swapping a sample. I agree that the timeline looks all too convenient but let's not forget that this is a fellow who has strong beliefs in the healing power of the body and whatnot and his beliefs actually reflect in his lifestyle (as in going out and about, meeting people all day, attending large events, organizing himself large events and parties, all this while being unvaccinated). It would be amazing if he DIDN'T got the virus as soon as his antibodies decrease under a certain level. If this was a fake test my guess is he would have done it sooner, actually much sooner, perhaps with some circus attached to it ("Novax gets COVID again" headlines etc) in order to avoid any scrutiny. No problem at all from a commoner peoples opinion, I thought you’re article was well written and better than many slewscorp slanted views and of course a bit different to the Rebel News coverage.Originally posted by AdrianN View PostWould that be a problem if I was a journalist?"]https://optimvs.wordpress.com/2022/0...djokovic-saga/[/URL].Submarines are a total waste of money IMHO as the next war is/will be done using drones and cyber space. Australia cannot lock its borders as we are connected by submarine cables and so many satellites that it’s very hard to control these access points using military planes, boats or submarines.Code:break

Very little about the way that he has behaved that looks honest to me.
Another man baby whose people appear to have manipulated the ducks so that he can have his way lest he throw a temper tanty. Sorry- but I call BS on this. Send his arse home.

Here is some public opinion for you. Two sports reporters accidentally left the microphone on and described him as a lying fxxx axxxxx. Since it came out he lied on his entry about travel 14 days prior, public opinion has gone down.

The Morrison govt couldn’t find their collective arse with their finger - played like a fiddle
Djokovic’s only option if not vac’d was to contract Covid prior to the AO - he registered for the event in early Dec,then tested +ve and then traveled out here - do I believe there is fraud going on here - absolutely.
The treatment of illegal immigrants by Aus Gov is atrocious - youth in denton for 10 years - makes me ashamed to be an Australian.
My hopes:
if Djokovic was a decent human he would use some of his massive wealth and homeland influence to help relocate the refugees being held in detention back to his country. Nothing in it for him, so he won’t.
Raffa to beat Djokovic in 3 set final.
Documents leaked from Serbia implicate government ministers in fraudulent Covid results issued to Djokovic so he could get through Aus immigration!!! He is subsequently banned from entering Aus for 3 years

1) Djokovic sought a loophole through which he could enter Australia without being vaccinated.
2) The Federal Liberal government decided to make a political statement, that it "protects our borders" and "the same rules apply to everyone" while successfully undermining the State Labor government.
3) There are no winners. Djokovic will have a very hard time with crowds and public relations if he does now play, or will be sent home anyway. The Australian Open has become a sideshow. The Government, and by extension Australia, are gaining an international reputation as bumbling, unreliable and a little backwards.
Thanks, that's the kind of interaction I was looking for. The point that you make about the Federal Liberal government undermining the State Labor government over this matter is something that was generally overlooked even in the Australian media that I followed during the last days. In the context of the upcoming elections this is something even more relevant. For foreigners coming from non-federal states (like me) this is something less obvious. We happen to have political cohabitation situations (big city mayor from one party and government from another) but this cannot translate in executive conflicts.
Sadly some appear to be thinking (if that's the right word to use here
) that my intention was to "harass and sling your BS at us". What can I say, hopefully that fellow isn't the designated spokesman of the forum and is just trying to present himself as the voice of the masses, so to speak.
At any rate, given some of the reactions I got here I must confess I'm really curious to see how will the public receive Djokovic at AO if he gets to play. And how he's going to handle the atmosphere, so to speak.Last edited by AdrianN; 12 January 2022, 12:17 AM.
