You never qualified yourself as being some kind of journalist when you created the post/question, which shows you have very a poor work ethic.
This is actually one of the lowest forms of journalism.

This has been addressed multiple times, you appear to keep going about it simply because you lack any arguments. At this point it really looks like ill intent.

Again, (1) being a member here for quite a few years and (2) having no intention whatsoever to write a pierce about common Australian views etc there was no need to identify me as anything. This was done for my own curiosity, on a personal level. Claiming that I should have been ringing a bell of some sort is like claiming that a fellow from the fire department should identify himself when stepping into a pub, because maybe later some drunks would want to play with fire without risking a fine.

Bottom line you are just delivering a personal attack, probably because you have a strong political bias in this matter.

In all you statements, you have never substantiated your claims or given any proof, again proving your bias.
You also have never shown us a copy of the exemption Novak is supposed to have.
Your journalism shows a lack of quality research and you are only giving your unqualified opinion.

We all discuss this matter on the base of the documents that were made public by the Australian courts.

If you really want to know what happened, how about you contact Novak's management/support team and Tennis Australia, they tried to find a loophole and got court out at border security.
Good journalists should be able to do this!

Sorry to say it but what you wrote here borders the delusion of grandeur. Not only you act like you know what good journalists can and should do despite having no credentials whatsoever in this profession. But also you fail to understand that knowing what really happened rarely relies on asking for statements from the parts involved. Far more often what you need to do is to have a good look at the cold hard facts. If Russian invades Ukraine tomorrow you don't ask for statements from Putin if you want to know what's going on, I hope you understand that much...

The loophole was there, the Cezch lady entered and played based on it. You appear unable even to get the well known facts straight let alone draw conclusions based on them.

The real looser here is Novak, as his management let him down.

I don't know how much travel you've done, but just because you hold a visa for any country, doesn't mean you can actually enter without meeting other prerequisites if they are required.
To enter Australia at the moment, a traveller needs to be fully vaccinated against COVID or hold a valid medical exemption, Novak had neither, as he was never qualified to get a medical exemption under the current exemption rules. Again, you appear to have never done your research on this. The Czech tennis player was in the same situation.

I've travelled extensively competing at an elite level in sport, so I have a very good knowledge as to what is required to enter a lot of countries and it's not just by holding a visa in some countries!

Novak decided not to get vaccinated, which is his choice, but his choice also comes with restrictions and consequences.

This was again discussed extensively here, I find very poor taste to ignore everything that was said and explained and just drop another "back to square one" line. The fact that the Czech player DID enter the country (and even got to play a match) without any fuzz and would have continued to play if it wasn't for the Djokovic scandal shows to any reasonable person that the medical exemption WAS considered valid by the border staff that allowed her to enter. That much should be clear to anyone capable to use his own brain, as opposed to eating without chewing whatever Morrison and his supporters claim.

As for the rest, you could take my word that I have traveled both for work and for pleasure far more then most people and you should try (as in really try) to understand what I said in the comment to my previous message: IMO a country that can be entered only after a long and expensive inter-continental flight should make damn sure that people cannot get the visa and board the said flight without fulfilling all the required conditions to enter. This is common sense and someone who fails to understand that much, or understand that Morrison and his immigration minister actually managed to depict a negative image of Australia during this incident isn't really going to offer meaningful input on this matter...

Nope, he was simply denied entry, was never given the option to quarantine for 14 days. It wouldn't have been convenient for him (given the tournament dates etc) but it would have been a very different outcome from a legal standpoint.
