    Re: MOVIE - Wall-E

Im sure Wall-E could find the attachments required to make a good brew.

Not so much on the underlying message but the animation was amazing.
From a "dusty" earth to space . . its great what they can do with CG now.

Does anyone know if WALL-E can make coffee? He looks like he probably can inside that body of his.

    TK
Well he can obviously generate huge pressures internally.   (Not hydraulic or he would have failed from leaks and burst hoses in lot less than 700 years.)   Therefore some sort of internal adapter unit along the lines of an upgunned Presso? Perhaps cold press coffe?

I think the way they made the message come through the film like it did was fantastic. But would a society ever be that controlled by their ancestors that they would be almost affraid to return. Lets hope we never will.

    Good observation Mr Macchiato.
It also showed the widely held concept that people dont generally learn from their mistakes as while in space for the 700 odd years all they did was dump rubbish out of the ship. No different than before.

The message i thought was much more powerfull than the rest of it but perhaps that was my viewpoint as an adult, i just hope it sinks into the minds of children, let alone adults.

I quite enjoyed it. But it seemed to me at the time that most of the folk who were on the ship were white (going from memory here). Didnt notice too many other ethnic groups present. And what happened to the rest of the world. Did the Americans just trash their joint then piss-off?

TK i think Wall-eeeeeee is correct.
I saw the film with my kids the other week and thought it really poor quality apart from the underlying message to kids about looking after the environment.

But apart from that i was quite disapointed in it.

    Now, guys, the question is:

How does one pronounce his name?

    Walllllly?

    Wall-eeeeeee

    Wal - lee?

Not sure here - we watched the movie (simply fantastic - a sign of things to come) but we are still not sure what to call this little guy, or how to really pronounce his name.

    TK.

I think its a case of cross posting from Al_Cappuccinos thread

    They say
    Nothing is new
It gets re invented and given another name

    eg
Helicopter Tree seed pods came a few million years before the machine we know

Didnt they just drag out "number 5" from the 80s film short circuit and animate it?
Whilst the design may have resemblance to Johnny No 5 . . the story is very different. The animation is amazing for this one.
