Re: I made a bottomless group handle for my Via Venezia

    Thanks again guys

Ezralimm, Im currently studying full time, and working two jobs, so I dont really have the time to do it, but its very tempting

Fix, I took great care in making sure those edges WERENT sharp, to avoid damaging the machine, and my fingers when I level the dose etc.

Ive been playing around with pre infusing shots on my Via Venezia, and I personally dont like pulling normal shots any more ;D

    looks good
but be careful, the rough edges and welds on the lugs, may cause damage in the collar

Maybe you could mass produce em and sell them online... like what pullman is doing with the naked 6910s

I havent really considered making more of them, although I have plenty of spare material left... The problem is, my brother did the welding, and Id have to bug him to do it for me again :P

The basket actually presses into the handle, so theres no way itll come out with a hit onto a knock box. Ill make a video today if I have time. The last picture I posted was of the second shot I pulled, and after a solid knock or two into the knock box, one solid puck came out

When are you going to sell me one, and how much??

If you are using a knock box, does the filter basket come out?
If so, is there a way you would think to fix it?

Interested to hear how the shots are tasting!

Haha... The colour is due to a number of things; I started this shot thinking it wouldnt be that great (wasnt sure that Id got the hang of the bottomless handle after only one previous pull :P), but to my surprise, the stream grouped in the middle, and it looked great! I was rushing to get my phone camera, and I only managed to get a shot JUST before it started blonding, so thats why the colour is like that
