Hi there. My mum wants an espresso machine but she is on a very limited budget.( She will not need a grinder). It looks like Breville and Sunbeam have the cheaper end covered. Can anyone recommend which of the various models are the most reliable. There seem to be so many different cheapies by both Brevile and Sunbeam that it is hard to know what to get. Any advice would be most appreciated.

Should clarify that she does not like plunger coffee, and by "reliable" I mean least likely to be cactus after 12 months if cared for properly. We acknowledge that the quality of the coffee produced will not match that of a more superior class machine, but hoping it will be reasonable.

The plan is for her children to purchase a grinder for her for Christmas. Not sure which one yet . At this stage only interested in helping her to choose a cheap machine that has reasonable reputation for its price, as she hates instant coffee and is happy to use pre ground coffee until the grinder arrives.
