  • EM3500 repair with my sons toys...

I thought it might be fun for folks to see the high-end repair job that turned my friends paperweight back into an espresso machine.

Just out of curiosity, who thinks I should have kept the ESP4 for myself and given the EM3500 away?

tsk tsk, wheres the safety officer? Neither men have hard hats, that guy up top is climbing in a non-approved platform without scaffolding, leaning over the edge, no high-vis gear, and the electrical equipment isnt even tagged out...

Okay, so of course the angle-grinder fairy has visited and I now have an unpressurized double basket (no single when I got this hand-me-down, Im afraid). This evening, in a fit of pique, I unscrewed and removed the plastic inside the porta-filter, wrapped the screw in al foil and put it back.

Im not sure what difference this will make in my cup of coffee, but I sure do feel industrious.

      ServingRoyalty
would be easier if they all drank coffee instead of tea.
