  • Gaggia classic steam wand alternative.

    Dear Gaggia Classic owners,
Without trying to upset anyone with the alternative steam wand replacement,I was left without the Rancillio Silvia Steam wand (Leroy got it!).
I had a spare Sunbeam hot water wand which I was able to fit the correct steam nozzle (smaller hole).
This modification was challenging to the extent having to lengthen the internal copper steam pipe by 37mm to allow the sunbeam ⅛ bsp male connection.
Aesthetically the changeover is less then ideal however,As I want to use it for a time to determine it's actual functionality as a steam wand should be!
I will keep those interested up to date with my results as occurs.
Pictures to follow .....when I take some!
    Cheers,
    Mick.

I know you have a lot of experience with these machines, but I think it's upside down
