the breville bar italia filter as recommended on the forum, fits snugly into the holder but then water and coffee spurt out. Tried no coffee, just water and starts off fine, but then starts to leak out, under pressure from the shower head, will try as you suggest and let you know. Thanks

are you using the breville baskets or the krups ones? Either way it still seems wierd, maybe take out the rubber seal at the shower screen and give it a thorough scrub then re assemble (undo the screw where the shower screen is) and see how that goes.

non pressurised filters with breville 800

thanks for all the info on this forum. have had a breville 800 for ages but read about the non PF baskets on this forum, they arrived today.. Excitedly I made the first cup - coffee and hot water spurted all around the holder. Tried again with more tamping (using breville scoop/tamper - will get proper tamper tomorrow), same deal. Seems like the non PF basket doesnt quite seal properly, or is it to do with the black plastic in the bottom of the holder?

Anyone else had this experience or have any tips for me? Look forward to your comments.
