Thx John, so what is the differenc between the sureflo pump and a machine pump?  So in conclusion, i need two pumps for this type of setup.  But why i need to pump? can i just use two machine pumps?

    Re: Plumbing

The black thing hanging on the board is the Sureflo pump. It pulls the water from the jerry can and under pressure through the stainless fitting on the outlet side ( pressure limiting valve ). Then into the filter ( Big white thing ) and out to the machine pump ( the one sitting on the brick. Then to the coffee machine.

Thx David you are a legend~~~

Can i ask what is the black thing hanging on the board? The Shurflo pump is the one on top of the brick? If i put filter water into the jelly can, do i still need a filter?

Pump costs anywhere between $120 to $160. Depends what model you go for. I purchased the Shurflo 3901 for about $130 from Whitworths Marine. You can buy these DC presssure pumps from most marine and caravan shops. Shop around. Youll also need a transformer that will output 12vdc that can handle 5A, price $30 from Jaycar CAT. NO. GH1379.

Miscellaneous plumbing fittings and hoses, $20? Pressure limiting valve can set you back nearly $100 for a tested one. For a non tested one, probably $30 from most places. I got mine from Reece Plumbing right next to where Seven Seeds now is.

Water filter housing (already owned one) and water filter within limescale inhibitor (free from mate). Price? Ask Bombora.

These two products are essentially the same as what I have. Just a different brand. The water filter I use are the ones Veneziano use for most machines including LM Mistrals...so if its good enough for a $27,000 machine, its good enough for me.

    Hope this helps.

    Re: Plumbing

Ill keep looking for another one. It is ok if i dont get this one. But at least Ive learnt how to plumb in a machine; how to setup a plumb machine from a jelly can etc. To be hornest, it is fun. I find learning all this is very fun  . Also, I really want to get a used commercial machine and do a little bit of fixing, so i can learn more about how espresso machine works.

    Re: Plumbing

Ok~~Im really an amateur in plumbing. Can anyone tell me how to install a plumb in machine? Im getting very confuse. My initial plan was to install my machine in the laundry and share the same outlet with my washing machine. But it seems complicated to install the separate adaptor & water filter. Can someone be really kind to tell me how to do it?

My amateur knowledge is as long as the host from the machine fit one of the water outlets in the house, Ill be fine. All i need extra is a water filter between the machine and water outlet. (Machine--water filter--outlet). Do i need to  worry about pressure if i connect the machine to a water outlet?

Cos the machine im getting is a 1998  La Cimbali Junior plumb in model. It has a vibrate pump instead of a rotary pump. So my other question is why it needs to be plumped? From the picture i can see a small water resivour. Isnt it i just need to fill that up?

Procon pump will not pump though a water filter. You will need another pump on top of the procon pump to pump water through the filter from the jerry can. I used a shurflo dc pump. Cost me around $140 plus $20 in fittings.

So the way it goes will be:

Jerry can -> shurflo/flowjet pump -> pressure limiting valve -> water filter -> procon -> machine.
Thx David. How much does it cost for your whole setup (not include machine)? is it very noisy when the pumps are on? Also, can you please be very kind to post a photo of your setup (I remeber i saw it once in your facebook)?

    Tony

a La Cimbali Junior..... It is a plumb in model
The plumbed in cimbali I see on looks to have a vibe pump to me, not procon.  The 8th pic - red thing under the boiler.  dont know how that changes things.
U are right~~From the discription of the items it said "the machine has a vibrate pump" but it needs to be plumbed in. So how can i plumb water from a jelly can? Will my initial though work? Cos I decided to put filter water in the jelly can instead of installing a water filter. The other option for me is to share the same outlet with a washing machine (which i think i will be less complicated). But Im uncertain how to actually do the plumbing. Any though?

    Plumbing

Currrently looking at La Cimbali Junior. It is a plumb in model. My question is how can i get it install. The best option for me is to plumb water from a jelly can like the picture (as im renting). I read from Wushoess post said a procon pump will do the job. Im thinking a setup like this (machine-----procon pump-----jelly can with filter water). WIll this work?

Did a few research tonight, found out that there is something called Flojet water pumping system. Does anyone know where i can buy one or something similar in Australia?

    Tony.

Working...
