. It hasnt been rtestored but has been descaled and resealed in tha last couple of years by a lever technician
. The condition was described as good and considering the age of the machine I would say a reasonable description, it does however need some restoration work to make it more acceptable to the better half. Compared to pump machines the group is huge, not as huge as the the group on the lovely single group Gaggia the seller uses but compared to E61 groups it is big. As you can see from the picture I dont have a lot of room available, not only was I lucky enough to get a single group commercial lever, I was lucky enough to get one the can fit in the available space. Cant pull shots with it yet as the HX system requires it to be plumbed in.
As you can see not much room to play with the SJ has to sit on the shelf.
I havent even dusted the Aurora off, just sat it in position to see if it will fit OK, it does, many commercial levers wont. The case will get a respray that orange has to go maybe Ill just do it in silver to match the SJ dunno yet suggestions anyone.
Cant show you any inside shots yet that will come if people are interested but heres a link to a restoration with good pics hope you dont mind the babelfishhere
I expressed a concern to jmc about the performance of the HX on a lever he directed me to this threadhere Wow, that certainly quelled any doubts I had.
It will be commisioned in due course the only sad part is my much loved Silvia will have to be adopted out.
