  • New/old machines for sale?

    Hey guys,

I am after a website or sources to find out where I can find machinery (machine and grinder) in and around Sydney. These machineries will be used for outdoors and I have been reading that EXOBAR is most reliable and 10AMP power is most easiest. But any hints, tips or advice for people that already have coffee cart experience would be aweomse and appreciated.

If anyone has used their own power supply or generator, any advice on this area would be awesome also.

    Thanks,

    Paul.

omarass are ok I often go and have a look / bid there

but make sure you know what your bidding on as you cannot test them there..... and there is no warranty etc at auction. Their vendors I feel often can have unrealistic reserves, but are often (sometimes) prepared to negotiate if it passes in unsold. (sometimes it is best to be the "high" bidder and be passed in)

out of interest what are you looking for 1 or 2 grp ?

and what sort of money you thinking of "investing" ?

            Hello Paulee.

Some ideas from left of centre of your question.

There are a great many reliable machine brands around...Its hard to imagine how you may only have read that exPobar may be reliable//.

Sounds like you want to go into business in which case the last thing you should be doing is looking at used equipment in places where there is no guarantee that what you are looking at even runs....let alone have any form of service backup (initial and ongoing) from the vendor.

Look in the YELLOW PAGES. the section is:
            "Coffee Brewing & Equipment Supplies".

Buy from a professional esp machine supplier where you can be presented with a good late model going machine that can be demonstrated and possibly has some kind of limited guarantee.

Do not discount the idea of approaching your coffee supplier with this quandary...why wouldnt he help if he can?

Yes for portable, outdoor use 10 amp is easiest unless you are carting your own generator around with you then you can go as big as you like subject to your budget.

Speaking of budget, if buying a genie dont bother with el cheapo noisy chye-sneezy brands. Buy good name (Honda / Yamaha etc) "quiet" type or you wont be able to hear what your clients are ordering and they may even stay away due to the noise.....

Not really what you do on a shoestring due to the necessity of having all good equipment throughout.

And of course deal with suppliers who are in it for the long haul with you ie, offer ongoing service and support for the equipment they sold you.
