    Rancilio
    Mod: MIDI CD
    F.N: 287056

    Hey There

Just servicing a Rancilio atm, and have come to a few issues. It appears the Shower Screens are screwed in by an allen key screw (Weird), and the screws thread is on the vurge of being screwed, so having issues getting them out, any suggestions?

Pressure Release Valve Plastic Piping has cracked, where is the best place to buy a replacement part?

What would be a sure sign that the flow meter is failing?

I have noticed on WEGA and RANCILIO they have the Dial that reads 1 and 2, what does this refer too?

Thanks in Advance for your advice,

    Brett

Drill out the old screw, helicoil it or tap the whole to a larger size

youre talking about on the end of the 3 way valves down into the drip tray? i wouldnt think it really matters - it just takes the water from the 3 way to the drip tray.

can you program the dose? does it have a little led on top that flashes when it rotates?

with the shower screen you can try gently tapping in a torx bit to get some more "traction" on the inhex screw.

if all else fails you can use a dremel to cut a notch in the screw head and undo it with a flat head screwdriver... or use a tiny ezy-out

Re: Advice Please! Rancilio Compact 2 Group

          Hi Guys

Eventually got the shower screens out with a bit of brute force (another reason I much prefer Expobar or Wega, so much easier to work on=) )

Can anyone suggest where I can buy some seals for the boiler from? I need one for the part where the element connects back onto the boiler and also the large boiler seal. Also Im thinking some new shower screen screws would be good.

Thanks for your advice so far, has been very helpful.

Was going to put some pictures up, but need to make them smaller, next time!

            get them at coffeeparts.

by the way - why are you talking about a flowmeter? CD model is not voulmetric.

Am looking at replacing the Pressurestat, would the Sirai Pressure Stat work the same? Looks similiar to the one thats already in the rancilio just a different brand and a newer model.
