Not sure on those what the Working Temperature LED indicates, but I suspect that if its venting steam as well it may indicate the pressurestat is sticking closed and the machine has overpressurised. What does the boiler pressure gauge indicate?

Occasionally the contacts in a pressurestat may weld together so that power to the element remains on even after the pressurestat off setting is reached. If this is the case then a new pressurestat may be needed, unless the wiring doesnt use all 3 sets of contacts in the pressurestat. In this case you can swap the wiring over to an unused set of contacts to get more life out of it. And you may end up needing a new pressure relief valve, since they are not designed to open and close regularly, but are just there in case to prevent the boiler bursting. If they do open in an overheating situation, often they dont close again fully when the cause of the problem is fixed.

Probably either from the pressure relief valve, but more likely the vacuum breaker. Try tapping the little peg sticking out of it with a wooden spoon when it is blowing steam (BE CAREFUL!). If that doesnt do it, remove it and soak it in descaler, rinse thoroughly, then blow it out with compressed air. Might need to replace it. If it is coming from the pressure relief valve then there might be a problem with the pressurestat or related electronics.

In either case, stream inside a box that also contains electronic equipment is a bad thing.

Can anyone help, I have flashing on the Working Temperature LED and a loud steaming noise coming from inside the machine that is steaming from under the cup warmer. Sounds like some sort of relief valve open. Does anyone know what it could be?
