Re: ECM Veneziano S1 - intermittent fault - thoughts?
A suitably qualified electrical repairer would probably check the connections on the microswitch first (and where they go to) and maybe even do a continuity test on the switch esp if it isnt the better type with roller wheel on the plunger.
After that the repairer would systematically go through the brew system bit by bit to isolate the problem and rectify.
Cant diagnose without having machine sitting on the bench in front of you in the flesh.
Anyone not suitably qualified should take it to a professional repairer.
Hope that helps.

Re: ECM Veneziano S1 - intermittent fault - thoughts?
Thanks guys.
I think I have sub-consciously developed the determination pull as it fails less often if pulling the lever faster. Any thoughts on whether that clue leans more towards a solenoid issue or the switch itself?

I trust your instinct more than I trust mine.Originally posted by 5065686F5B476B62626161040 link=1306589255/2#2 date=1306630054My instinct is that its probably a solenoid coil on the way out or a sticky solenoid. As Den suggested, it could also just need the microswitch adjusted.

Re: ECM Veneziano S1 - intermittent fault - thoughts?
Could be something as simple as the microswitch behind the activation lever. :-/
Can I also say, Ive never seen anyone flick the lever with such determination. You really dont have to be that firm with it.

ECM Veneziano S1 - intermittent fault - thoughts?
Hello CSers,
Weve now been using our new machine daily for around 6 weeks and are now experiencing an intermittent fault after the machine has been on for a few hours.
Not sure if it is electrical or if the pump is seizing or? and have yet to crack it open but just wanted to pitch it here first to see if anyone has experienced a similar issue and/or has any ideas on where to start.
I have attached a video below which shows where the brew cycle starts and then pauses, usually able to restart by resetting the lever (@0:24) but sometimes requires a quick power cycle, which (so far) always works. Noted that when shooting the video, the brew cycle actually stopped once or twice on its own, which it has not done prior. Usually the machine works fine for hours and then will randomly not brew at all. A quick power cycle restores it to working order and it has not (until this arvo) stopped mid-brew).
NB: The machine is currently set up as pour-over and was recently descaled before it came to us.
Thanks as always in advance for any insight!
Cheers
