ah okay. Youll have to take it apart then. Undo that nut all the way and it will come apart. Dont worry, its very easy to put back together. just take it apart slowly so the spring and small spring seat dont get lost. you might have to just replace the spring which is what gives the wand resistance to movement.

Im not too sure about that Mischa, Ive tightened it past the point of the other one and its still moving freely, tightening it anymore feels wrong, its tight.

That makes me thing theres something on the other side which Im unsure about that needs adjusting - anyone know?

just tighten the nut that holds it on. You might be able to get to it without taking anything apart (just stick your head where the drip tray is and look up) otherwise you might have to take the cup warming tray off the top and do it from there.

ECM Michelangelo - loose steam wand

    Hi guys,

Im hoping someone here might have some experience theyd be willing to share with me. One of the steam wants has become loose on my ECM Michelangelo and Id like to tighten it up but am unsure how to do this. When the machine is cold its fine, it sits where you want it however once its got steam going it become limp and doesnt hold its spot in the jug - it falls back down quickly.

Id normally take it apart and figure out how to put it back together but after looking at the schematics @ coffeeparts here http://www.coffeeparts.com/ecm/ecm-spare-parts-5.html I see there is a spring up the line and Im not sure how hard it is to piece this back together.

Is anyone familiar with this, any tips on how to stiffen it up again?

Many thanks in advance for your help.

    Cheers,
    Matthew
