Ok, sorry for the long wait on update, but turned out to be corrosion n the coil indeed.
All good after replacing the solenoid coil.

Hmm, rook a while to get a new solenoid coil, but came in today. Will see tomorrow how it goes.

yeah the only possibilities would be the touch pad, the main board or the solenoid

Thanks, I know its not the boiler or element, as apart from this problem, it runs fine. Ill pull the solenoid off and test it.

Re: Bezzera B2000 left hand groip causing power trip
I had the same symptoms once from a Boema 2 group. It turns out the water inlet was turned off so the boiler was getting too hot, and since we favoured the left boiler it emptied sooner...
Could also be a faulty element.
Its a wild guess, I dont know much about these things!

Bezzera B2000 left hand groip causing power trip
Hi
My B2000 2-group has started shorting recently when activating the left hand group. I have checked the button panel and it works fine when I try it on the other group (by switching the cables in the Brain Box), Could a faulty solenoid valve cause a short? Basically the machine works fine, but as soon as I try to use the left hand group, it trips the power.
