Old thread, but this is the one that popped up when I was googling for answers for my expobar problem - all five lights above the buttons on the left group were blinking and not responding. Turning the machine off and back on didn't fix it, but the manual pump switch worked fine still.
Another Google result for a similar sounding problem on a similar machine suggested that there was an undocumented reset procedure where you hold down the water button ( the one on the right) while the machine is off and then turn it on.
The blinking lights changed to the water button light being stuck on but the buttons still not working. I power cycled the machine again and now it's working normally again.

    UPDATE!

Went and checked out the machine today. Turns out both the control pads were playing up, replaced the master and slave with some spare ones I had, and everything seems to be working again.

Question: Is their a way to refurbish the control pads, or is it a throw away part?

Also, what causes these parts to break, the machine is only four years old, and does around 40 coffees a day. The only cause I can see is the fact its in close proximity of an indoor commercial swimming pool, what gives me this thought is, all the boiler is a greenish colour from the chlorine.

and then if theres no blink when the water is running continously, the flowmeter is faulty?

If the flowmeter is working correctly, you should see a very rapid almost indiscernible blinking from the LED when running just water from the group. If its a slow blink then theres probably a blockage somewhere, maybe at the flowmeter but maybe at the group. Look at LED and compare to the flowmeters on the other groups when they are pouring water.

Flashing light indicates flowmetre error if it has plastic top flowmetres still on it this will be the problem
Tek, would you suggest that the pictures provided, the plastic electronic box needs replacing? IF the flowmeter is faulty, is another sign of this, that when the machines on the light on the flowmeter isnt blinking?

    Thanks in advance.

Will find out more! She just mentioned that it kinda just does its own thing sometimes when she presses a button. So hopefully it will just need resetting.

umm, hard to say without further info. Does the group operate normally with the other buttons?

I had a word to her today, and shes saying that when she clicks on a button it kinda does its own thing....sometimes. Could this be a fault in the keypad, the flowmeter, or the keypad just needs resetting?

Sounds like it could be just waiting to accept programming instructions for volumetric dosing. Does it happen with ALL the buttons or just the one on the right?
