  • San Marino Lisa - Water button doesnt toggle on/off

    Hi,

On my San Marino Lisa I pressed the water button in the middle - and now the water wont stop running.... is there any easy fix, is it busted or has it gone into a cleaning mode?

    Cheers

Afraid this is a job for a techie to diagnose and rectify.

      Sorted.

Took the cover off, unscrewed the solonoid that was connected to the hot water pipe, turned it on and the water stopped.

Turned it back off, plugged the solonoid back in and its working properly again.... I guess it just got a bit jammed...

        Oh rats! :-[

        Its playing up again.

It either sticks in the running position (until I unplug the solendoid) or simply wont run at all.... I guess I need a new solenoid/valve)...

Or could it possibly be just a "sticky" valve and needs a good clean? Anyone had any similar issues?

Just get a new one, not a large expense

If its running the valve until you disconnect the coil it means the valve has power to it, have you checked the switch? Sounds like your switch is the culprit to me.

A follow up to my previous post, after thinking further about this sounds as though you should bite the bullet and get a tech to check this fault, like I said your issue sounds electrical and a tech or electrician would be the best person to source the primary problem. Worth getting it looked at as safety is paramount when power is involved

                Yup it was the valve!

Found a local techie who came and swapped it for me (under warrenty so was happy for him to do the work rather than me!).
