                Re: Manual/Docs for San Marino SMSA2

                I really hate bringing this old thread back up, but it is nearly impossible to get a manual for these machines online....

                I have just taken delivery of a year-old San Marino Lisa - 2 group SME and naturally its missing its manual.

                Does anyone have a link to one - or even know where I can buy one?

                Many thanks in advance & A Happy New Year!

                    Re: Manual/Docs for San Marino SMSA2

                    Seriously blokes there is not much of value in the owner booklets.

                    Usually,
                    a) instructions on how to fit up the machine from new
                    b) instructions on how to programme the touch pads
                    c) instructions on how to regenerate the water softener / depurator,

                    and precious little else. They do not tell you how to use the machine, how to make coffee, or how to trouble shoot much if anything other than to advise you to call for service if something is not operating as it should.

                    a) is usually a oncer and the trade fit up is done by someone with experience so not required in reality
                    b) a dangerous thing to leave with cafe staff unless you dont mind anyone and everyone changing the programmes daily according to unqualified personal whims and
                    c) no one in cafes ever does that with the old style water softener /depurators that used to be supplied with the machines because its "too hard".

                    All in all, the booklets have not much of any real value in them, are never used, and disappear.

                    If you have a service problem, you probably wont find anything in the booklets to help, and you are better off simply starting your own topic here with a specific question, asking for assistance.

                    Hope that helps,
                    A.

                      Fresh_ ,

                      Thanks for the response - but in truth when it comes to these machines I am a newbie - so even programming the buttons is "hard" for me!

                      Technically Im not a complete idiot (see my other post on the hot-water pipe) - Ive managed to get it wired in and plumbed myself (safely) and its all working.... but its always that thought at the back of my mind of "did I do it the way its supposed to be done.... and how DO I program those darned buttons!" (guess my background as a Project Manager is showing through! )

                      If there is a guru on here perhaps a generic idiots FAQ could be put together?

                          I understand these are SUPER old offers, but I'm hoping someone still has and can grant me access to a techy manual or at least some exploded diagrams which are relevant to a 2grp San Marino - Lisa.
                          Please help!

                            Is this the correct manual?

                            SMA manual;
                            https://coffeesnobs.com.au/forum/equ...e-users-manual

                            There is a documentation section here for extreme machines;
