Ciao All,
Ive just had my first play with my new toy - La Marzocco GS/3.
Purchased from Talk Coffee, the only tough bits were deciding to buy it, and then waiting for delivery.
First impressions are impressive (yeah, I know that isnt good prose, but Im a bit wired).
Shot clarity is terrific. Lots of flavours, really well defined. Yes, I know I want to find this, but I reckon there is something in the cup.
My comparison machine is a Giotto Premium, with thermostability mod (done by Chris), which I think would be considered a pretty good machine. The GS/3 gives more "clarity" (at least at first impression it does), with the Giotto shots seeming a bit muddier.
Steaming performance is incredible. Even the pimped Giotto is blown away. I dont steam that much milk, I am more of an espresso drinker, but still make the occasional cafe latte. I am going to have to relearn my technique, just to take into account this much power.
So there it is. First impressions are great. More to follow (if anybody is interested).
