Boiler pressure initially as far as I am aware due to ther valving you are opening the boiler to the group as their is no pump to push the water to the group.

As the lever get beyond about 1/2 way the lever that sits behind the group (see photo below) gets opened by the cam on the lever, its at this time the water comes into the top of the puck and iunder the piston.

        Re: Izzo 3group Lever Bling

Well due to one of those random CS topic notifications that are not here cis a bit of an update I guess.

Now around 100kg (not much commercially I know) along the way from March last year. The machine has just done a little stint over Christmas performing its task reliably and consistently. The regular staff have grown to love it and the results inspite of it needing a little more care than their more normal volumetrics.

So pleased with it I just picked up a 1 group courtesy of evilbay (same heads etc) San Marco for inside the shop permanently as the 3 grp wont fit inside. Apologies to the couple of CSs bidding too ;D

Anyway if you see an Izzo or San Marco Lever and feel like a self indulgent splurge do it, you wont regret it.
