A little customization is on the menu for the BZ40
A custom turned wooden handle for the Naked Group

Wooden handles really feel lovely on the hand

I was always forgetting to ask about a commercial steam arm when visiting sponsor Barazi

Visited them yesterday and this time I did remember to ask
Yes they keep them in stock
2 models exist one type with slightly larger diameter fittings and different ball seat
The other type has the smaller diameter fitting and a traditional spring and brass cup ball seat

My BZ40 needed the smaller of the the 2 models
And I have stuck to a 4 hole steam tip but a 2 hole was also available

Here are a couple of photos

A few enhancements to the BZ40
First I have fitted a wooden handle on the PF

And today I was visiting sponsor Barazi and walked out with a genuine Bezzera nakid group handle

They are available for commercial type (as my machine is) and for E61 type group heads

I gave the nakid PF a go two times
It just confirmed that I am doing everything right 8-)

    The cloth stays on
I flush into a clear bowl and dispose its contents in the sink
That keeps everything dry and clean
Do the same thing here at home too KK. Makes sense to me.... 8-)

I have nipped up everything under the bonnet of the BZ40
The only thing that moved was 2 bolts that attached a steel frame brace to the brass water bridge that connects the boiler to the group head

So I filmed another video to compare the buzzing issue

This time the Beans are a blend of PNG & Ethiopian beans

Getting off the buzzing issue and back to the god shot, with the new beans did it take a couple of shots to dial in on your grinder?
It took 2 shots to get the new beans dialled in
Those shots were pouring a little slower and showed blonding earlier

Did you have to adjust the grind much at all?
One adjustment at a time to the course side and it took 2 fine increments about 3mm each

From the video it looks like youve attached the BZ40 to a beehive - that pour looks like honey straight from the source! ;D

    sniff
Thank you Sniff, and it tasted lovely
Now I will get back to it
The BZ40 is at good temp and its ready for me to make our breakfast cups

my pump is under the sink..... so that makes it very quite.
but the Faema i gave my sister is fairly quite.

but it is often just the camera picking up noise i reckon you would know better than us on your own machine  8-)  not knocking it, just listening, watching and thinking
    OK
    Its not a pump noise
What little noise or vibration I can find? is only while pulling a shot
When I place a little weight with my hand on the group handle while pulling a shot the vibration seems to stop

I will tinker a little and find the culprit

It was not actually noticeable until it was pointed out
