Help with a near new Boema 1-Group Volumetric Espresso Machine
Re: Help with a near new Boema 1-Group Volumetric Espresso Machine
Well I had my BOEMA Single Group serviced as I couldnt get it to produce a decent cup of coffee as there wasnt enough pressure to extract the coffee. Turns out the mechanical water pump was seized up. Once that was replaced, it produces an amazing cup of coffee. Still for $1200 off ebay its in almost new condition.
Re: Help with a near new Boema 1-Group Volumetric Espresso Machine
On the chassis you have two switches and an orange light. The switch on the left is the power switch, it turns the machine on and off. The switch next to it is used to isolate the element when working on it (if I remember correctly), do not touch it!.
To use the machine, switch on the power button. Do not worry about the volumetric controls (the buttons with the pictures of the cups), simply flick the big orange button between the steam knob and the hot water knob.
Time your shot, or just wait till blonding begins and then turn it off.
Presto, easy to use.
Some advice, flush some water through the group head before locking in the group handle, when pouring a shot, the machine may run hot if it has been standing idle for some time.
A great buy and good luck on your journey.
Unfortunately the manual that came with the machine is less than helpful. I dont want to pester the previous owners about the machine. Ive only just had it plumbed into the water supply with a water filter etc. Im use to using my Faema E98 compact S1 Coffee Machine. So this is a different machine completely.
There is a switch to the right of the power switch that I have no idea what it does. I dont want to touch anything I dont understand. So if one of you kind people would provide me with some information I would be very appreciative. Any info on using the machine would also be appreciated. The Boema web site doesnt have much information on usage of these machines, so Im looking any help I can get.
