The only thing that marrs that beautiful machine is the off-colour handle on the portafilter
At the time Chris had a black single group Pompeii as well, I suspect the second PF is off that machine, hence the different colour.
Thats the one. I was using a naked yesterday (old black one). I have 2 x double and a single on the new one and 2 red ones on the way- which will be nuded up for duty.

Re: My new Izzo Pompeii Single Group Lever.....

I saw Chriss machine in person on thursday, and I promise you these pictures DO NOT do it justice. It is one of the most gorgeous machines you will ever see. I just wish I had the bench space. I totally geek out seeing the springs from the side too.

Those shots of the back sure prove the point of watching for reflections in your photos!

My Pompei is finally online and wow, it is just a stunning machine... and the coffee is not bad either

Special thanks to Chris for making this possible with all his efforts along the way and Galumay who also played a part convincing me to go down this path.

        Obligatory happy snap attached!

          Looks great insiomnispresso!

Congrats on the new kit. I am sure it will bring you much pleasure.

With that, the Nuova Pompei window has closed for the time being as the red one group we had "spare" has sold as of yesterday as well. Saved me assigning it to home duties I guess :-(

We can still source the full stainless pressurestat Pompei and it's really neither here nor there as the PID acts only to control gross boiler temperature (and therefore pressure) unless the machine is multiboiler- which the Pompei is not.

          Chris

The curvy sides might grow on me yet They are a great machine to use and consistently produce great shots. Congratulations!

I liked my 3 group so much I have just had a 2 group Gas/Electric land in the country

Intrigued does this mean you can now source the Pompei Levers or is it still as per a month or so back where Izzo will only sell you these with a supply of beans?

No change from what I have stated earlier in this thread bf...

We can source the stainless model, but not the Nuova Pompei.

The Izzo Australia web site shows the Nuova Pompei available again at $5500... or is this just a tease ??

I am from Sydney, have been trying to find out more about The Izzo Australia in Sydney. Wrote an email a few weeks ago, replied with the sale person is on holidays till end of Feb. advised to contact another sale person with the company number. I tried numerous phone calls, unfortunately with NIL answer or can't leave any message. I wonder ????????

Thanks for the plug insomnispresso. We sure do.

Gruppo Izzo will only supply the Nuova Pompeii to accounts using their coffee which is packaged as per Illy. Me thinks that this situation may well change once all SS stock has sold.

Perhaps I should take orders and then purchase 20kg browns with each 4 machines. Buyers purchase the machine and compulsorily acquire 5kg Izzo beans as well

Odd ?... you can... (apparently)... buy the Nuova Pompeii online from Izzo's Australian site.
Its a normal on line retail store open to the general public.
I "Walked" through the purchase procedure all the way to the final step, and there was no mention of any need to commit to buy beans ?
Its quite possible the "buy" would flag up some other issue and prevent the sale, but if someone wants to sub me $5.5k , i would happily give it a try !
