  • first shots only warm

Hi every one, I need help again,my first few shots I make on my wega atlas compact are only warm and the temp needle sits under the green bit.Using the steamer brings it into the green and shots made then are ok, After a few hours it seems better . Is there a thermostat i can adjust ? I just realised i havent checked the hot water temp (i will tomorrow ) however the steam is fine. Any clues ?
    Thanks

How long are you waiting for your first shots? The typical advice is 30min - 1 hour from turning on, works well for the Faema.

i reckon you have a stuck anti vac valve on the boiler

by opening the steam you are releasing false pressure.

open the top with the power off and unplugged and cold, i bet if you touch the antivac it will drop back in.

or in the morning when you turn it on leave the steam wand "open" when it starts to hiss a bit of steam close it and it will heat up properly

Thanks Maheel and Daveze for responding , leaving the steam wand open seems to have done the trick
