) the problem with auto-reset cutouts is that if you've got a Pstat failure (though that looks like a Sirai 'stat so it's a whole lot less likely) they'll cycle the element, on until break temperature, off until reset temperature, which isn't really healthy for, but if all else fails it'll do.
