I found a thread on another coffee website asking about the same thing (Londinium/QM Achille group):-
    L1 gasket - Page 2

The dimensions that you stated are the same as what is mentioned there (Reply #16).

If you phone site sponsor Coffeeparts, Pedro is aware of the gasket size for this group.

Anyone know what size group head seal the Achille uses? Is it 66 x 56 x 6mm?

Took the piston out for cleaning / re-greasing on the weekend....was amazed how clean it was. I guess it's not sucking brewed coffee back up itself

Good thing that the Achille comes with a complete rotary 'engine' modelled on an '86 Mazda RX7.

Woops yes, thanks. Might not be too helpful to vibratory pumps either?

    Yes- machines require regular service.

Re resin: Whilst a few resin beads might block a solenoid, they're in no way going to be terminal for a boiler..

I've heard of resin filters being neglected to the point where the resin beads break down, escape from the filter, and get in to the boiler. Once that happens the boiler may need to be replaced. I think the filter would be looking pretty rank before this occurs. A harsh lesson in the need for basic maintenance.

Thanks Chris. I guess I don't really have a control sample....I've used the inline filters (+ regularly changed benchtop filter) since buying the Reale.

Fine to do as you wish Barry.

I really don't think inline filters do that much, but if everything has been ok with the reale, go for it.

    Cheers

Stupid question.....is there any reason not to attach an inline resin filter to the water supply?

It's my mum's fault. Of all the names she could give her kids: Barry, Garry, Larry and Carrie. The joke should have got tired after number 2.

Shame some sites still have the machine listed. [not Sponsors, I hasten to add.]

Oops Barry. My apols for the heat induced brain fade!

Still a nice step from the Reale.

Thanks Chris. Certainly a great deal and great piece of kit.
