Selling the wife is usually the hardest part of the deal. I think I have said this in the past; hang some expensive jewelry on the lever and she might not notice the machine

The guy in the The Mayor of Casterbridge had little problem, though it did come back to bite him

Is that legal? I like my espresso machine, but it's not that good on conversation!

Girlfriends 1, 2, 3 and 4 were easy to part with but Wife #1 is a keeper, now convincing her to buy more coffee gear is another story. The name Bobbit keeps coming up!!

Could be a bed wetter too and I'm not sure about that lever sticking up under the sheets?
            I prefer the wife's bits.......;-)

              Hey Guys

I am new to the forum but have been lurking around reading stuff for a while. I have worked in cafes and restaurants most of my life and have finally taken the plunge (literally - straight into the deep end) and purchased my own setup.

I have a brand new MACAP M4D and the Londinium I Luxe that that I ordered a few weeks ago is now on the courier. According to DHL it is at Heathrow airport but it has a long journey to get to me in Invercargill, New Zealand.

I look forward to posting up some pictures once it arrives.

              Cheers

              Ian

I see on the Londinium blog that one of the new Luxe machines made it to Germany in 18 hours!

My machine has made it to Heathrow, I'm expecting/hoping it will arrive early next week.

                  Welcome to CoffeeSnobs Ian.

long journey to get to me in Invercargill, New Zealand.
                  Seriously long way!
It would have to be the furthest travelled and farthest south Londinium too I guess.

From the tracking I can see that mine had a 1 minute head start on yours but got overtaken in the Heathrow depot.

                    Hey Andy

According to Reiss I hold the 'distance from London' record. My LONDINIUM I will be some 18,987 kilometres (11,798 miles) away from its original home!

It is painfull checking up on the DHL website, delivery to the other side of the world just seems to take forever. I see on his blog that they got one to Germany in 18 hours.

The race is on New Zealand vs Australia. May the best DHL courier delivery guy and Customs man win!

Touch-down in Australia an hour ago... just under 1000km to go

Na, I've got nothing... mine is still listed as departing Heathrow at 2.49pm on Wednesday 6th.

So these are the options that I am considering...

                          A. Its on a really really slow plane

                          B. The courier plane has crashed somewhere over the pacific and Tom Hanks is making fantastic coffee for his vollyball friend Wilson.

                          C. It has landed in Auckland, New Zealand, has been put on the next two flights to get it down to Invercargill and is going to arrive this afternoon!

                          D. It has arrived in New Zealand and they just haven't checked it in with their scanner thing.

                          What do you think?

I would think option D... and no one wanted to work the weekend to scan it.

Just checked mine and it's stalled.

                            14 Clearance delay SYDNEY - AUSTRALIA 11:33

I'm guessing for customs clearance / fees but sadly no one has contacted me so I'm guessing (hoping) Monday it will start to move again.

                                E. They don"t know where NZ is.

                                F. They found NZ on a map but it's in Sydney and they're checking boat hire prices.

                                G. 8-)
