  • My machine hits 10bar

Is this normal? If I let the water run out without the handle it runs at 9bar but when I am making coffee it goes to 9bar but then hits 10bar before the coffee starts pouring and just stays at 10bar.

    Hi Mafioso ,

It might help if you gave some more details about the machine you're using, but generally 10 bar on the machine is correct,

Sounds perfect. The pressure on your gauge is measured before the restrictor in the group, so there will be a small pressure drop at the puck due to there being outflow through the coffee at that point.

Pretty good start for a first machine...
