  • Alex Izzo Duetto II Servicing (self and professional)

    Hi folks,

I like to believe that I take immaculate care of my coffee machine. However, I guess it is probably time to consider taking it in for a general service. Can anyone recommend anywhere suitable in Brisbane?

While we are on topic, can anyone provide a short list of things that I can do to keep the machine in tip top working order? For instance, I noticed that the steam want was starting to get a bit squeaky - so I assume this is just a case of lubricating the socket.

    Thanks for your advice!

    Scottydog.

Have no hesitation in recommending the crew at Barazi in Coopers Plains.

    They do excellent work.

Agreed on Bezzera Australia (which used to be Barazi). Some of our clients have also used Espresso Breakdown at Capalaba

I've used Espresso Doctor when my Giotto needed attention. They came to my home to do the work. Arrived when they said they would and within two days from my initial phone call. The technician seemed knowledgable and enthusiastic about his job. Perhaps a little on the pricey side, but in my view the convenience of the home visit made it worthwhile.

        Best wishes, Russell

Noticed today my izzo is leaking from the long vertical safety valve on the top right side of the large boiler. Looks pretty easy to replace, is it a pressure relief valve?
Does it need a specific one or a generic and who is the best to source one from. Any info appreciated.

            Thanks

            Chester

Duetto II and III, Vivi and Alex II with the original one piece boiler all use a 1/4" safety valve attached to a riser off the boiler. The current range (Oct 2013 build onwards) with the heavy end plate boilers use a regular 3/8" safety valve.

Where can Boiler heat wrap and silicon tubes be purchased? Also my steam pressure gauge is not returning to zero. Can the gauge be cleaned out so it reads correctly?
