Rocket Giotto Evoluzione and Belkin WeMo

Tried to search and found a few threads but nothing that specifically answers my question....

I have a Rocket Giotto Evoluzione (V2) and am considering using a Belkin Wemo switch to turn on the machine remotely.

Essentially, from what I can see if one uses this switch it would be the same as leaving the machine switch 'on' and turning the machine on and off at the wall.

Any thoughts on whether this would have adverse affects on the machine's electronics? (i.e turning by it on at the wall rather than with the machine's switch)

Doing what you are suggesting will cause no issues at all.
I've had a wemo automatically switch my machine on/off for the last few years. Before the wemo, I used a timer.

I've used a Wemo with my Vibiemme for a couple of months no, no problems at all. Great having it on a timer, turning it on remotely, and using the "IF" (formerly IFTT) application to turn it off whenever I leave home.

Been using a Wemo for some time with my Profitec and before that the Elektra.

All good. Was nice to be able to turn my machine on the other morning in the cab home from the airport!
