No problem Phil.Originally posted by PhilWebb View PostThanks very much, lots of choice out there Chris. Only problem being in Tassie is limited physical machines to look at. The limited take up of this brand was a bit of a concern, hence the question.
Shortlist now
VBM domobar super 2b double boiler
Rocket R58 - new model
Izzo Alex Duetto 3
Just over what I had budgeted for but...
Maybe a mini mazzer but have to see what the benefits are with a flat over a conical bur?
Cheers
Phil
I have plenty of experience with all of them and can talk you through some pros and cons if you wish.
We ship to Tassie pretty much each week.
Cheers

Hello Phil,
We evaluated the DC mini some years ago as a potential addition to range. We ultimately rejected it. Reasons were:
- Almost zero interest in the Australian market. I think a 2nd hand example would take a long time to sell or be sold at fire sale prices
- Very rough finish
- Poor internal build
- Poor analogue temperature control
- Overpriced
At the time, my opinion was that there were many better options available in the $3k+ price bracket. My opinion hasn't changed!
Hope that helps.
Chris

Dalla Corte Mini owners
Hi all
I am after any owners of the Dalla Corte Mini Machine. I am considering buying one of these machines and would like to know what current owners Love/ Hate about the machine.
also any other machine around this price bracket @ $3000
with simular features
dual boiler
volumetric
nice to have a plumbed option
single group head
rotary pump
pid control
able to turn off the steam boiler
also I am looking to upgrading my grinder - would prefer a manual one.
Any help would be appreciated.Tags: None
