After installing the FCD and watching WLL's very interesting YouTube webinars various flow profiles, I've used basically 2 flow profiles; the 15 second hold at 8-9bar then a ramp down to 1-2bar for oldish coffee. For fresh coffee, 6 bar for the entire extraction.

Is anyone interested in sharing any of their experiments or experiences?

Just installed one on my Synchronkia (two months old) and will start playing so if you still want to share notes I'm up for it

Hi guys, looking at one of these machines as an upgrade from the ECM Technika Profi IV vibe - I think this thread has just about sold me! Will be adding the flow control, I've seen various youtube videos on them - is it a novelty that soon wears off or are CSers finding they're using the flow control for every shot?

Whoa, when was the V3 even released? I've not heard anything about this.

Definitely enjoying the machine - has made me declutter the kitchen too so it becomes the centerpiece.

After warranty expires, I think I will swap the sides of the steam wand and water tap if pipes easily allow. Not that I wish to steam on the right side, but it's very easy to burn your hand on the steam tip when removing the portafilter if it's not pushed well out of the way after steaming. I always feel an assortment of point burns on the back of my left wrist.
