Finish as in, in comparison to the anthracite powdercoated base? If that, then it’s textured but it’s not as textured as the original, still finished really well with minimal random bumps sticking out. If you mean compared to the original panels, then it’s slightly thicker, with a textured finish but still fairly smooth. I preferred not having to clean stainless and maintain the shine as im ocd, but also swirl marks and scratches would be more noticeable on the stainless. I considered the front panel done too but didn’t want to fuss around with pulling the whole front bits off and be without a machine for the week

Looks great. How’s the finish compared to the original bits?

I forgot to post this up in my excitement when I received the panels and drip tray back! I had the side panels and back panel powdercoated including the drip tray parts. They were done with sable bass textured which is what their paint code was, and from a distance you can’t tell the difference between the anthracite base , up close it may be slightly off colour but not noticeable at all because most of the machine is now the same colour. I really love how well they all turned out and how much of a change it made to the aesthetics of the machine. In terms of longevity of the coating lasting on the drip tray, only time will tell. I never keep the water in the tray for longer than a week as they said it’s not suitable for objects that are submerged all the time. Anyways, thought I’d show you all!

Ended up taking the machine in. Matched the colour to what seemed to be the closest( I can’t remember the name now! I’m getting the 3 panels and the drip tray done( all 3 bits to the drip tray) I’ll post photos in this chat when I get them back. Week to week and a half turnaround they told me

Hey FS, they will have colour samples that you can bring home to try, just like colour-bond colours…

Not when the panels are all stainless… I want to powder coat it. Painful to take the whole machine in to show them the base of it to match the colour rather just have a code to cross correlate with

Can't you just remove a panel?

Does anyone know the colour code for the anthracite powder coat on the machines? I don’t feel like taking my whole 40kg beast into the shop with me just to match the colour. If I can’t get a code I’ll have to

Well the 25th edition also comes with all the wood accents, if you were to buy them separate you’d be paying more than 600 or so for them. And then if you were to powder coat all panels. The plus is that the front is powder coated rather than stainless. I would have much preferred this but obviously you have to justify the cost to outweigh it. The powder coating should last fine, you won’t see scratches, but it could wear over time with heavy use and if it got abused. If you look after it, it will be just as good as stainless

If maintained equally would the anthracite panels last longer than the chrome ones? I’ve been looking for a machine and reckon I’ve narrowed it down to the ECM Synchronika but I’m not sure if I should pay extra for the 25th anniversary or not. If it’s going to last longer and easier to maintain I think I can justify it.

Loving my new machine. Grinder isn't on the same level but I have aligned the burrs and it does OK. Have the Forte parts to install when I get a chance.
