  • Pesky a/v valve?

Rebuild it! Get a Simonelli steam valve actuator o ring from a sponsor and DYI for a few bucks (if you have one like this one).

+1. Or you can get o rings from a bearing shop, they only cost cents. Keep a few spares for quick weekend repair if needed in a few years.

    Cheers

This is true; but these babies are Viton and are tough as nails.

They last three times as long as anything else. Not a huge fan of Simonelli but their steam valves are almost bulletproof.

Breville o rings work too but cost $20.00 each.

Not a big fan of Breville parts for the record. But, I must admit, when it works, the Oracle makes one hell of a good shot.

Wow...They must buy them for $16 and apply a 20% markup. They must have learned that from La Marzocco.

Guess you have to buy them from the bloke in the Ned Kelly suit at the Breville spares counter?

                  I just spent more for a two-way and a coil that I would've from L.M.!

I use the silicone o-rings from Breville which are usually used for sealing the internal nylon tubes. Just the right size for the anti vac valve too.

Been a while since i ordered them but i believe they are around 7c each.
