  • Wega Mininova Classic

Hi All ... I'm considering the Wega Mininova Classic over the Rocket Appartamento. Unfortunately not much information anywhere on the internet about Wega. Are there any users out there? What can you advise and recommend in terms of pros/cons in this context. Thank you.

Don’t see a lot of discussion on Wega for some reason. 3 or 4 site sponsors sell this machine so maybe worth reaching out to them directly as well as any replies you get here.

Grant has one ('wattgn'). He loves his so hopefully he'll jump in here with a few words of wisdom.

        Hi Meerec,

Wega produces very reliable workhorse machines that make great coffee and the steam wands are absolutely perfect for latte art milk micro bubbles. They are extremely popular amongst cafes with medium range budgets. They used to be the premier machine of choice until double boiler machines like LaMarzocco took over, albeit at a much higher price. Having said this, the only benefit of double boilers is in high turnover cafes that require excellent temperature stability that comes from having a large independent brew boiler as opposed to a smaller HX system, so in a domestic environment HX machines are excellent and resale is brilliant.

The Wega Mininova is a unbreakable machine with amazing looks, it comes with and E61 commercial group head, HX boiler, and can be plumbed in or with a tank. 12 month standard warranty.

I specialise in Wega and LaMarzocco so if your have any other questions let me know and I'm happy to help. Also feel free to browse my website below and contact me personally if you would like to purchase so I can look after you.

My Wega Mini Nova Classic cost $2415 and I bought it from Leaf Bean Machine here in Perth. I can say that now without being censored as they are now a CS sponsor.

It has been a great machine. It hasn't missed a beat and it looks great. I still enjoy just seeing it in the kitchen and I love having a plumbed in machine with a rotary pump.

Wow that's a great price for a very capable machine. I knew they were fairly good value, but that's excellent.

              Morning Watt,

You won't be "censored" as you put it, for mentioning the name of a company, only live links to non sponsor sites will be deleted.

Andy provides us with access to Coffee Snobs at no charge, the few rules we have are easy to understand and very fair, suggest you have a read through them.

I bought the Wega partly on price I admit. I couldn't see why I should pay $3200 for a machine that had the Pressure Gauge and an insulated steam wand. You could also get the levers rather than dials for the water and steam controls but this actually put me off on the ECM machine I was looking at.

I also liked the people at Leaf Bean Machine. I have always said that who you buy from is important and it is a good little business with a personal touch that is important and they are very helpful.

I'm glad LBM are on board with CS, they fit the forum profile of members very well and I enjoy giving them a well deserved plug.
