Hypothetically if you were buying a dream machine, what would it be?

Great advice by Expresso Adventurer on using a Skid or Pallet. Good luck on your purchase

Update - small deposit paid, road trip planned !!!

Actually an air trip, not road, and wrestling to the freight terminal on whatever form of transport I can get.

A sneak peek, it's "guess that machine" time:

Some variant of the Elektra Sixties two group?

I was very close to buying an ex cafe one of those, I really like the style. It would be an ideal contender for a steampunk conversion.

Yep, the lever tap gives it away.
Pity it's not the lever group version, although finding one of those would be even harder as they have not been available in that version for a while.
We've got one in use in the workshop - a compact 2 group version, although technically it's a 'fat' 1 group version now as one group has had a bunch of parts 'borrowed' from it to fix a customer's machine!
This is what the lever version looks like (not the best pic, but they are rare enough that pics are hard to find):

Depends how heavy, (i'll assume its strapped to a pallet).
I would contact trucking companies, not couriers. There is always a good chance of a loaded semi with some room to spare.
You would get a very good rate and less chance of having a smashed machine arriving!

Who needs to convert when Elektra make THIS !

And to finish off the hypothetical thread... not so hypothetical anymore.

Not a Belle Epoque riforma limited edition, a 2 group T3 compact.

Pics and thread with my cleaning and descaling adventures to follow (it’s a bit older than I was led to believe). That’s after it gets here of course. If anyone needs tips on how to transport a 50kg machine via Uber and qantas freight, I’m the person to talk to...
