One machine to put on your short list would be the Lelit Giulietta. A relatively compact (58cm wide) 2 group commercial coffee machine with temperature stable E61 group heads, 10 litre boiler, internal rotary pump and can be configured for 15 Amps (also comes as 10 Amp). Two cool touch wands, sprung rotary valves and stainless steel body. It is currently on sale too which brings it within your budget .
It is for a large family home, and we are about 20mins out of town so not like we can run down to the local café. We tend to have a lot of family gatherings/entertaining which is always nice to offer guests a decent espresso. It will be replacing an existing 2 group Brugnetti with external rotary pump (the last time we had it serviced 6mths ago, the guy from Brisbane suggested we upgrade) and will be paired with a Mazzer Luigi
Looking at options: Nuova Simonelli Appia II, Wega Atlas or Expobar Mega Crem. Space is also a bit of an issue so looking for guidance on whether a single group or 2 group compact is a better option? The machine can be plumbed and we have a 20amp power outlet.
Any feedback or recommendations appreciated!
I admit to bias. The Decent DE1 can do a lot of things that those machines simply cannot (flow profiling, pressure and temp profiling, setting all parameters in advance, etc etc).
