    Re: La Cimbali Junior Rebuid

Schaerer, your knowledge and generosity know no bounds.

Regarding the grinder, I dont want to change a thing. Getting this machine was the biggest improvement I could have made. I dont really use the automatic switch off, as this would require grinding enough beans to last me a week, and the mrs is usually shouting something like "shut the **** up - I cant hear the telly" I dont know why, the old gaggia grinder was twice as loud, and half as fast on a good day. As you know, the hopper holds a kilo, but I just fill it up to about 1/3 full, which lasts a week or two. I know this is a bit long to leave beans in it for, but the variability between cups for other reasons (gaggia classic, for example) makes this a small factor. Hopefully this will change when the rebuild is complete. Having said that, the classic does produce the occasional ripper of a cup! I quite like the surprise when it happens!

Kel has my email address, I would like to see those photos.

    Thanks again for your help.

    Palp.

      hi Palp,
According to Italy, the machine with your serial number is sold in 1993 or 1994.

Coming along nicely. A bit of rust, bit of scale and disorder but entropy cannot resist the efforts of a human looking for good coffee.

          Hi palp,
this is one of the juniors I rebuild for one of me mates.
He wanted the white gauge and the cap outlet on the steamarm

          N.B.
          Gday Schaerer,

Please keep image size to a maximum of 640x480 pixels to ensure your images are easily viewable in most browsers..... avoids excessive scrolling, and can be very annoying for those of us who dont own 40" monitors ....
If you are unsure about how to easily resize your images,
this link will hopefully assist .

          Thanks,
          Mal.

                  Thanks Mal,
                  the coffee comes out great.

The junior rebuild I did 2 years ago, and the Bistro dt1 (for my self) 1,5 years ago.

Thanks to palpitation I had a taste of one of the coffeesnobs blends,......
I was realy impressed by the quality. :

                  Excellent stuff mate..... 8-)

Would you be able to ensure that future image attachments are kept to a maximum size of 640x480 pixels please. Anything larger can be very difficult to view properly in most browsers.

                  Cheers Tony,
                  Mal.

I will keep my self to the right picture size.
I am good with la Cimbali machines, but a little less with computers.

I put some la Cimbali stickers and badges in it also, so you can have a look what u like the most.
