Anyone know anything about these, some of them just look like the usual stainless box. But there is one coming up that actually has some shape and looks to have a saturated group and apparently pressure profiling.

New brand for ECM. Di Pacci are involved with it but whether it's exclusive or not, I know not.
I'm not overly enamoured by the proportions of it. Seems to grab a little of everything including including paddle, volumetrics, double displays...
Will be interesting to see how photos resolve into actual metal.

That CGI smacks of university design project, most elements seem to be copied from existing machines (GS3, slayer, Hydra, R91...)

They're talking up "inexpensive", so we'll see how that goes.Originally posted by crazyhakins View PostIf it does find it’s way into existence it will be expensive.
Design certainly wants to be a bit gslaysynessrnineone... Like they gave it to the design students who chose one (or more) of everything.
If you're gonna do volumetrics on a pressure profiling machine (why you would I don't know as they really don't work), hide them away in the interface R Nine One style for mine. I personally don't care for the buttons all over it. The proportions don't do much for me personally, but that might just be the render.
We'll all get to see if/when it makes metal.

Is there a link to the details of this machine?
I can't find anything remotely resembling the description you guys are referring to...

Some interesting responses, as for the rip off aspect of various machines there is a bit of that. The basic stainless box has been used by everyone just about and there is a machine called a viper which is clearly a rip off of a speedster. But there certainly doesn’t seem to be much thought go into external design lately just features.

Plastic feet... Hmmm. We want these machines to last for 20 years plus. And a small drip tray. The machine might appeal to some but I think this is an example of a non-coffee-geek industrial designer going mad and copying the GS3 at the same time. This one not for me!

I am a new owner of a Bezzera Duo DE and it uses an electrically-heated head (120W) controlled by its own dedicated PID controller. Very fast warm up and stability to within a degree. Why persist with massive slow saturated heads! Happy to challenged on this one!!!!

Hi all - first time posting!
I am in the market for a machine over the next couple of months. One that caught my eye is the Bellezza Bellona. Double boiler, external water tank, so compact and sleek. Others on the list are the VBM Domobar Junior, and Expobar Brewtus Leva (dual).
From the perspective of established and well reviewed brands, I am a little wary of Bellezza - from the little I can find out, they MAY be a sub brand of ECM (similar German address and some product names), may be Chinese made or components… hard to tell. The Bellona has reviews by two Aus suppliers - but they are selling.
Anyone else had any recent experience? Guy Sebastian has done a promo for the Bellezza Chiara - so must be awesome, right?!

Pretty sure they are a Di Pacci house brand, can't comment on build quality/performance as I've not seen one personally but they don't fill me with confidence. Some of the design choices are unusual, to be honest the Bellona looks ridiculous. The overall lineup just looks cheap to me.

Thanks for the thoughts. I guess design aesthetics (and whether you like them or not) are somewhat individual. Anyhow, seems like very little out there in the way of reviews/experience, so I am a bit wary too - especially as the price is up there.
Lelit Mara X also on the list, given the compact design and features sound good. I have experience with using a couple of E61 HX machines over the years.

Something I noticed about Bellezza machines is that in europe (i.e. germany) people seem to appreciate them because they are (supposedly) good machines at a VERY good price point.
Possibly because of the part-chinese production line?
However, when you check prices here in Oz, the machines are relatively much more expensive.
If you take the Bellezza Chiara as an example, compared to a BZ10, the Chiara is +$500 more. In germany, those two machines are the same price. I wonder why that is??
The same is true for other Bellezza models, retailers here have them priced higher relative to other machines, compared to europe.
(This relative higher price is also true for other brands, which is interesting, but that discussion belongs probably to a different thread).

In the end I picked up an Izzo Vivid from Chris at TC at a good price (ex display unit). It's great, has a really good build feel to it, and as I say I have experience using the E61 machines (ECM Giotto and also the Rocket (I think!) in the past). The only thing I notice about it is that the 'workspace' is a little cramped, but I have been spoiled with a GS3 for the last few years, and I need compact for the place I am moving to soon.Originally posted by Bohne View PostMost defentiely, YES!

Ha. Just the usual arguments. If you like fiddling (experimenting) with temperatures then a dual boiler is the way to go. If you like just having a big boiler and a very simple, easy to maintain machine, go HX...with or without PID.Originally posted by mikef View PostI am a new owner of a Bezzera Duo DE and it uses an electrically-heated head (120W) controlled by its own dedicated PID controller. I like the HX for simplicity and the big boiler, mine is plumbed in and I push water through it to heat cups and reduce boiler scale. Finally you always get fresh water for your brew rather than from the boiler.
And you can make the counter case...of course.
I do think that the electrically heated head is a progressive communist plot...LOL...it make sense honestly. I think though again, I do like honking hulks of metal, the traditional machine...E61 (1961).
