Hi All, newbie here. Short time lurker, now jumping in feet first with my beautiful Izzo Alex Duetto 3 which is around 4 years old and mint, that l bought a few days ago. It`s been a while since l`ve had a decent coffee, can`t seem to find a coffee that does it for me in Darwin, so l thought l may as well do my own at home. I`ve owned 2 cafes up here and produced tailor made coffees for 16 years, retired now, so l have a high standard for my caffeine intake. Anyway HI and l`ll be bugging the forum for info of how to drive and maintain my new (used) machine. Spose l better upload a few pics because l`m pretty wrapped and can`t wait for it to get here, should arrive on my B`day, great present!!

Thanks for the welcome Mal, l`m looking forward to the learning curve, so much to consider with the settings on the machine, coffee grind and buying a decent grinder, plumbing it in and what type of water filter to use and where in Darwin to get good fresh roasted beans. Looks like a few weeks or longer of experimenting.

Happy upcoming birthday. An excellent start to home barista ops. What sort of grinder do you have?

A coffee grinder is the next purchase, at the moment all l have is a Ascaso 12 Mini M-300 which l might keep as a backup but l`m thinking Eueka Mignon Specialita. Wanting a small footprint and not taller than my Izzo, thinking l could spend up to $900, definitely timed and doserless, second hand or new. Damn there`s so many out there, l`ve got info overload. Hope l replied correctly by using comments to your post to me!!
